Want to hold a fundraiser for your organization or a cause you care about? Need some help to get it going? Tell us about your idea for a fundraiser and we’ll award $500 to fund the top-voted proposal.
Fundraisers are a great way to raise awareness, gain supporters, and of course, raise funds. However, effective fundraisers require planning, negotiating, and often hard-to-come-by seed money. Funding a fundraiser isn’t so simple. This was the issue faced by Yayoi Shionoiri, the winner of GOOD Maker’s first Create Your Own GOOD Maker Challenge competition, and the premise for this challenge. GOOD Maker will provide $500 to an organization or individual to host a fundraiser for a social cause.
Tell us about your fundraiser and how you would leverage $500 to raise at least three times that amount. You could sell posters of children’s drawings for your art organization, cater ethnic food for your multicultural organization, or rent out a cool eco-friendly space for your environmental organization; the more creative the better. Share your fundraising idea with us here, and you could win $500 to make your idea and your ideal fundraiser a reality.
Submit your fundraiser idea between May 22 and June 13 (noon Pacific Time). From June 13 to June 27, we’ll open it up to public voting. Rally your colleagues and friends to get behind your effort and join the GOOD community in selecting the winner.
